England captain and Warrington maestro George Williams is singing the praises of head coach Sam Burgess, crediting him for the team's stellar performance this season.

Sitting snugly in third place on the table, just behind Wigan Warriors and the league-leading Hull KR, Warrington is making waves.

Williams and his teammate Matt Dufty are relishing the freedom Burgess has granted them to call the shots on the field for the Wolves.

With their eyes set on the top spot and the League Leaders' Shield, which guarantees a home semi-final in the playoffs, Warrington is on a mission.

After their defeat to Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup final, the Wolves have bounced back with authority, winning six out of eight Super League games.

Williams is not only pleased with the team's form but with his own performance as well.

"I reckon I'm in top form, mate.

But truth be told, it's the team environment that's got me firing on all cylinders.

Everyone's playing their part," Williams shared on the Sky Sports' The Bench podcast.

Gone are the days of being stuck on the left side with no room to move on the right.

Williams is relishing the opportunity to roam freely on both sides of the pitch, dictating play like a seasoned pro.
