The National Rugby League (NRL) has announced the nominees for the 2023 NRL Dally M Team of the Year and individual Dally M awards for the NRL Telstra Premiership.
The Dally M Awards are a recognition of the game's most outstanding performers in both the NRL Telstra Premiership and NRL Telstra Women's Premiership.
The awards will be presented on September 27 in Sydney.
The voting process for the Dally M awards underwent significant changes for the 2023 season.
Two independent judges now give out votes on a 3, 2, 1 basis for every game, allowing players to earn a maximum of six votes per game.
This change aims to increase fairness by removing potential variances from a single judge's voting.
Any player suspended for two NRL regular season games becomes ineligible for any Dally M award, and a one-game suspension results in a deduction of six points.
However, players who are suspended can still earn points in subsequent games to ensure the voting process remains unbiased throughout the regular season.
