Queensland Rugby League has announced the Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons squad for Game I of the 2025 Women's State of Origin series, which will take place at Suncorp Stadium on May 1.
The squad features a mix of new faces and experienced players who were part of last year's Origin series win.
Cowboys centre Jasmine Peters is among the newcomers, having had a standout NRLW season.
Other debutants include Georgia Hannaway, Hayley Maddick, Jada Ferguson, Rory Owen, and Tavarna Papalii.
Hannaway has been impressive at five-eighth for the Cronulla Sharks, while Maddick has caught attention with her performances at fullback for the Brisbane Broncos.
Ferguson, Owen, and Papalii have also been recognized for their talents in the backline for their respective clubs.
Four of the new squad members have come through the BMD Premiership, with Peters (Mackay Cutters), Maddick (Sunshine Coast Falcons), Hannaway, and Ferguson (Norths Devils) having played in the 2024 competition.
