The Canberra Raiders have announced the signing of Isabella Waterman to their NRLW squad for the 2025 season.

This move comes after Shakiah Tungai opted to sit out the season.

Waterman, 25, joins the Raiders after spending last season with the Newcastle Knights, where she participated in two games and was part of the Knights' Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership team that reached the 2024 grand final.

With a solid rugby background, Waterman has played the last three seasons for Hurricanes Poua in the Super Rugby Aupiki competition and has also had a season with Matatū.

Raiders NRLW coach Darrin Borthwick expressed enthusiasm about Waterman's addition to the squad for the upcoming season.
