NRL battlers swoop in to poach in-demand Panthers flyer

A struggling NRL team has made a bold move to snatch up Panthers star Sunia Turuva after it seemed like he was on his way elsewhere.

According to reports from news.com.au, the Tigers are now front-runners to secure the services of Panthers sensation Sunia Turuva, who was initially tipped to join the Dragons.

The Daily Telegraph is revealing that the Tigers have their sights set on Turuva as a center and potential backup fullback for talented youngster Jahream Bula.

The 21-year-old speedster had attracted interest from the Dragons, who had put forth a contract ranging from $400,000 to $600,000 per season, depending on certain performance-related clauses.

However, following unsuccessful negotiations with the Panthers, Turuva's management was unable to secure him a deal to stay at the club, leading him to explore opportunities elsewhere.

The Panthers, facing salary cap constraints, were unable to match the offers on the table, leaving Turuva with no choice but to consider other options.

In a classic case of being in the right place at the right time, the Tigers now seem poised to add Turuva to their roster, bolstering their lineup with his electrifying speed and attacking prowess.
