The long-term future of the Sydney Roosters looks increasingly uncertain in the NRL.
Having recently parted ways with Joseph Manu and Joseph Suaalii, and with Mark Nawaqanitawase and Angus Crichton set to return to rugby union this year, the club faces significant challenges.
This situation is compounded by looming retirements - potentially this year - of key players such as Daly Cherry-Evans, James Tedesco, and Daniel Tupou.
While financial resources shouldn't be an issue for the Roosters, the experience and talent void created by these departures could be alarming.
"I'm still sorting out [my future] with my manager," Tupou shared. "But I'm trying to get it sorted as soon as possible."
The seasoned winger, poised to become the third-highest try-scorer in NRL history, expressed his commitment to the Roosters.
"Nah, I probably [can't imagine myself playing somewhere else]," he said.
"I think I'm too mature to go to another team and start all over again. It'd be hard."
On the flip side, Sam Walker, who is early in his career, is already making about a million dollars a season.
