'Why bother?': Latrell Mitchell found himself in hot water twice in the first half due to some questionable decisions, leaving onlookers scratching their heads in disbelief.

Latrell Mitchell has copped criticism after landing himself on the referee's radar twice in a series of lapses in judgement during the first half against the Warriors.

It was a disastrous turn of events for the Rabbitohs, who were hoping to build on their first win of the season last week.

Instead, they found themselves reverting back to their losing ways, suffering a 34-4 defeat at the hands of the Warriors.

The Warriors took an 18-4 lead into halftime, courtesy of Mitchell's blunders, and continued to dominate in the second half.

The game started off as a real grind, with both teams trading early tries to give the Warriors a narrow 6-4 advantage after the first 10 minutes.

However, things took a turn when Mitchell made a questionable play while defending the Souths line, getting tangled up with Jazz Tevaga in a tackle just shy of the halfway mark of the first half.
