Tonga triumphs over Kiwis, sets stage for Australia

Tonga have pulled off a real underdog victory, taking down the Kiwis in a nail-biting 25-24 match-up to secure their spot in the Pacific Championships final against the mighty Australia.

The Tongan team came out guns blazing in Auckland, scoring four tries in rapid succession within the first 32 minutes, leaving the home crowd gobsmacked.

Despite trailing 24-0, the Kiwis managed to claw their way back into the game with an Isaiah Papali'i try in the 35th minute, but they still found themselves in a tough spot going into halftime.

After the break, the Kiwis hit a different gear, scoring three tries in just 16 minutes to tie the game at 24-24.

The highlight of their comeback was a spectacular solo effort from veteran prop Joe Tapine in the 66th minute.

This monumental victory sets Tonga up for an epic showdown against Australia in the final.

It's sure to be a clash of the titans, with both teams giving it their all on the field.

Tonga will need to bring their A-game, with the Aussies undoubtedly hungry for another win.

It's set to be a display of skill, determination, and raw passion as these two powerhouse teams go head-to-head in what promises to be a battle for the ages.
