The Wests Tigers are reportedly close to re-signing co-captain Apisai Koroisau, following the departure of apprentice Tallyn Da Silva to the Parramatta Eels.
Reports from zerotackle.com indicate that while players like Adam Doueihi and Charlie Staines are set to become free agents by the end of 2025, Koroisau's status is particularly important as he can negotiate with rival teams starting November 1.
Currently contracted until the end of 2026 for approximately $700,000 a season, Koroisau is expected to secure a new two-year deal extending his contract until 2028 within the next fortnight, as reported by foxsports.com.au.
This extension aims to keep him from being targeted by the Perth Bears, especially following the club's loss of Da Silva, who signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Eels.
