In a surprising move, Wests Tigers NRLW co-captain Kezie Apps and teammate Leianne Tufuga have decided to take their talents to the Queensland Rugby League BMD competition.

The Jillaroo and New Zealand international have chosen to join the Western Clydesdales for the club's inaugural BMD Premiership season.

Apps, a decorated player in women's rugby league, has been a shining star for both Australia and New South Wales throughout her career.

With 26 NRLW games under her belt, including a stint with the Dragons before joining the Tigers, Apps has also represented Australia in 12 Tests since her international debut in 2014.

On the other side, Tufuga made her mark last year with a debut for the New Zealand Kiwi Ferns, showcasing her electric speed and skill on the wing.

With nine tries in 21 NRLW appearances for the Wests Tigers and Sydney Roosters, Tufuga has proven herself as a formidable force on the field.

This move to the Queensland competition will undoubtedly bring new challenges and opportunities for both Apps and Tufuga, as they seek to make their mark in a different arena.
