In a move that has tongues wagging and fans scratching their heads, it seems the Manly Sea Eagles and North Queensland Cowboys are gearing up for a player swap that could shake up the 2025 NRL season.
According to reports from down under, speedster Jaxson Paulo is set to pack his bags and head to Townsville, while promising young gun D'Jazirhae Pua'Avase will be making the journey in the opposite direction.
Paulo, a winger hailing from Auckland with the versatility to slot into the centres, is about to embark on his fourth stint with a new club at the ripe old age of 25.
After making his debut with the South Sydney Rabbitohs back in 2020, he made a brief pitstop at the Sydney Roosters before landing a three-year deal with the Sea Eagles.
Despite high hopes for Paulo, he struggled to find his footing and failed to make a consistent impact on the field, only managing to lace up his boots for a mere eight games with the Northern Beaches outfit.
Will this change of scenery be the spark he needs to reignite his career and soar to new heights? Only time will tell.
