Fiji selected Taina Naividi for its initial 40-player World Cup group, and she hopes her versatility earns a place in the final squad.
Fiji opens against New Zealand at Newcastle's McDonald Jones Stadium on October 18.
Naividi could make her first NRLW grand final as the Roosters, contesting their sixth in nine years, face Brisbane on Sunday.
At 25, she has endured two ACL tears, her father's death and omission from the Roosters' 2024 grand-final-winning team.
Her first reconstruction came at Parramatta in 2022, the year her father died.
She joined the Roosters in 2023 and tore her second ACL during captain's run before the 2025 decider against Brisbane.
Naividi said, "The next goal is to take out the grand final - that's been a personal one for me, especially after what happened last year. "
She can play No. 14, wing, hooker, centre or back row; both her Fiji Tests were at centre.
