Taina Naividi suffered her second ACL tear during the Roosters' captain's run before the 2025 grand final against Brisbane.
The 25-year-old had already endured a reconstruction at Parramatta in 2022, the year her father died. She joined the Roosters in 2023 and missed their 2024 grand-final-winning team.
After working through rehabilitation, she is now set for a possible first NRLW grand final appearance on Sunday against the Broncos.
"The next goal is to take out the grand final - that's been a personal one for me, especially after what happened last year."
Naividi said that after the Roosters beat the Raiders 20-10 in their preliminary final. The club is now contesting its sixth grand final in nine years.
She can play No.14, wing, hooker, centre or back row, and said, "It's wherever the team needs me really."
She has played two Tests for Fiji at centre and hopes her versatility will earn selection in the Bulikula's final World Cup squad, having made the initial 40-woman group.
Fiji open their campaign against New Zealand at Newcastle's McDonald Jones Stadium on October 18.
