In 2007, five-year-old Hugo Savala joined Jack Rayner and Darren Lockyer in carrying the Provan-Summons Trophy during a presentation about rugby league's past, present and future.
Rayner represented the past, Lockyer the present, and Savala the future.
At the time, Savala had no idea how fitting that moment would become.
Nineteen years later, he is preparing to return to the same stage, but with a different role.
Instead of carrying the trophy onto the field, Savala will play for it.
