St Helens have faced a challenging season defending their Super League title, but they are poised to make it five in a row.

Their next test will be an arduous one against Catalans Dragons in Perpignan next Friday.

However, the odds are in their favor.

In a hard-fought playoff eliminator, St Helens emerged victorious, ending Warrington's season.

The match also marked James Roby's final home game and his 550th overall appearance.

With one more win, Roby will have the opportunity to bow out in a Grand Final at Old Trafford.

Paul Wellens, speaking of Roby, praised him as a leader and a phenomenal player and person.

Wellens also acknowledged the rarity of such opportunities and the chance for St Helens to achieve something special.
