'I'm still weighing up my options,' says Roger Tuivasa-Sheck as he contemplates a potential switch to represent Samoa in the next Rugby League World Cup.

The talented fullback, who recently returned to the NRL from rugby union, is impressing on the field, leading to calls for him to don the Samoan jersey in 2026.

Tuivasa-Sheck, a former Golden Boot winner, was born in Samoa but has represented New Zealand in 20 Tests.

As he continues to shine in the NRL, the debate around his international future grows louder.

When asked about the potential switch, Tuivasa-Sheck replied, "I'm focused on the team's success right now, so I haven't made a decision yet."

The Samoan rugby league officials are eager to secure eligible players for the next World Cup, with rising stars like Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Payne Haas already catching their eye.

Despite playing for Australia in the past, these players are being considered for the Samoan team.

Tuivasa-Sheck even earned the title of Samoan player of the week for his standout performance in round 4.

Still, with competition for the fullback position heating up with Nicoll-Klokstad's return, Tuivasa-Sheck's decision remains uncertain.

As he navigates this pivotal moment in his career, the Rugby League world waits with bated breath to see where he'll ultimately land.
