In a heartwarming display of friendship and perseverance, Rugby League legends Kevin Sinfield and Rob Burrow have been named as recipients of CBEs in the New Year Honours list.
The former Leeds Rhinos team-mates have gone above and beyond to combat Motor Neurone Disease, raising an astounding £15m through a series of attritional challenges.
Sinfield, known for his determination on the field, recently completed the grueling '7 in 7 in 7' challenge, running ultramarathons in seven cities across Britain and Ireland in just seven days.
Speaking about Burrow's recognition, Sinfield said, "It's really special and well-deserved.
The courage and bravery that Rob and his incredible family have exhibited in the face of MND is truly inspiring.
They have opened their doors to the world, shedding light on what it's like to live with such a devastating disease." Sinfield also commended the entire Burrow family, stating that they have shown everyone what a truly remarkable and supportive family looks like.
With their unwavering dedication, it's no surprise that these rugby heroes are being honored for their incredible efforts.
