Brisbane Broncos' fullback, Reece Walsh, has scored big by signing the most lucrative deal in Broncos history, with a whopping $5 million contract keeping him at the club until the end of 2029.
The young gun reportedly had the chance to explore his options as a free agent but ultimately decided to stay true to the Broncos jersey.
With Walsh's new deal smashing previous records at the club, he cited his close bond with teammates like Ezra Mam, Payne Haas, and Pat Carrigan as one of the main reasons for his commitment.
In a nod to traditional rugby league values, Walsh expressed his excitement to be part of the Broncos' future success and emphasized his loyalty to the team.
"This is a game-changing moment for the Broncos, and I couldn't be more stoked to be part of it," Walsh enthused.
"Contracts are like a scrum, they take time to get right, but I knew deep down I wanted to stay and be a part of this legendary team." With Walsh's talent and dedication, the Broncos are set to charge towards victory with their star fullback leading the charge.
