NRL Match Preview: Raiders v Dolphins

Canberra Raiders open round 12 against the Dolphins at GIO Stadium as they chase a fifth win of the season.

With State of Origin looming, both sides enter Thursday's clash missing key players.

Raiders duo Hudson Young and Ethan Strange have been called into the NSW squad, while Simi Sasagi is sidelined by an AC joint injury sustained in round 10.

Daine Laurie shifts to five-eighth and Ata Mariota moves into the starting side, with Zac Hosking returning from injury to partner him.

Edge forward Jordan Uta has earned an NRL debut after strong performances in the lower grades.

Xavier Savage also makes his first appearance since round five following an ankle layoff.

The Dolphins arrive buoyed by a commanding 32-10 Magic Round win over the Rabbitohs.

They will, however, be without Selwyn Cobbo, Max Plath and Thomas Flegler as the trio prepare for Maroons duty next Wednesday.
