In a thrilling NRLW Round 7 clash, the Raiders reigned victorious with a 38-34 win over the Dragons, while the Wests Tigers fell short against the Cowboys with a narrow 24-22 loss.

The Raiders, determined to avoid the dreaded wooden spoon, put an end to their five-game losing streak and piled on the misery for the Dragons.

The Dragons, who recently bid farewell to head coach Jamie Soward, were unable to withstand the onslaught from the Raiders.

The Green Machine, led by the unstoppable Grace Kemp, breathed a sigh of relief as they moved four points clear of the Wests Tigers with two rounds left in the season.

Kemp, the towering prop, delivered a monster performance with two tries, 143 metres, 10 tackle busts, and an offload, propelling Canberra to victory.

In a remarkable turnaround, Canberra fought back from a 12-point deficit in the second half, with Kemp's second try and a crucial conversion leveling the score.

The Raiders then sealed the win with two late tries, while Dragons' Teagan Berry managed to reduce the margin with a sensational solo chip and chase effort for her second try of the match.

Despite Berry's attacking brilliance, the Dragons' defensive weaknesses cost them dearly as their finals hopes were dashed.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, handed the Wests Tigers their 14th consecutive defeat, further cementing their place at the bottom of the NRLW ladder.
