The Rabbitohs are under fire for their flashy Hollywood game style as critics debate the quality of their roster.

The team, currently sitting at 0-3 after losses to the Broncos, Manly, and the Roosters, are being urged to ditch the "highlight reel" plays in favor of a more conservative game plan.

After a disastrous 48-6 defeat to the Roosters, South Sydney must bounce back in their next three games against the Bulldogs, Warriors, and Sharks.

Failure to do so may see coach Jason Demetriou facing the chopping block.

The team's star players, including Latrell Mitchell, Cody Walker, and Jack Wighton, are still gelling together, but there are already calls for Mitchell to switch positions from fullback to the centres.

It's widely believed that to win an NRL premiership, a team needs a solid playmaker and a strong forward pack.

Lachlan Ilias may make a return to the side after being dropped to reserve grade, but commentators are calling for more from Souths' forward pack.

The pressure is on for the Rabbitohs to turn their season around and prove they are contenders for a spot in the top four.
