The NRL did not announce the positional contenders for its 2026 Dally M Team of the Year, unlike in previous years.
Foxsports.com.au has put forward its own predicted team, naming Kalyn Ponga, Su'a Faalogo, Dylan Edwards, James Tedesco and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.
Judges assess players in each position at "regular intervals throughout the season", then make a final decision after 27 rounds.
Overall Dally M votes do not determine Team of the Year selection; consistency across the season is the key factor.
However, any player who finishes in the top three of the overall 3-2-1 voting is automatically selected.
The positional awards are considered competitive, despite an obvious favourite for the Dally M Medal.
