The coaching carousel at the South Sydney Rabbitohs continues to spin, with the addition of experienced rugby league stalwart Steve Antonelli to the coaching staff for the upcoming season.
With a career spanning over 40 years in the game as both a player and coach, Antonelli brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Rabbitohs as they strive to make a triumphant return to the finals arena.
Having previously coached the Rabbitohs' NSW Cup team, Antonelli is no stranger to the inner workings of the club.
His appointment sees him teaming up with fellow coach Ben Hornby, who recently made the switch from the Parramatta Eels.
With a coaching journey that began in 2013 with The Mounties, Antonelli has also honed his skills as an assistant under the likes of Ricky Stuart at the Canberra Raiders and Dean Pay at the Canterbury Bulldogs.
During his time at the Raiders, Antonelli served as a trusted lieutenant to Stuart for four successful years, before taking on a senior assistant role at the Bulldogs from 2018 to 2020.
His experience and strategic acumen are sure to be valuable assets to the Rabbitohs as they aim to tackle the upcoming season head-on and unleash their full potential on the field.
