Former Cronulla Sharks captain, Paul Gallen, has unleashed a scathing attack on South Sydney Rabbitohs regarding their handling of the Latrell Mitchell saga, suggesting that only the legendary coach Wayne Bennett may be able to rectify the situation.

Mitchell, known for his explosive abilities on the field, found himself in deep water after a leaked image surfaced showing him in a compromising position in a hotel room.

The NRL swiftly issued a breach notice to the 27-year-old, with potential consequences looming from both the league and his club.

Gallen did not hold back in his criticism of Mitchell's behavior, calling for the individual responsible for leaking the photo to face legal repercussions.

"The person who took the photo...

I think it's illegal, there's got to be something illegal there," Gallen remarked during his appearance on 2GB.

As speculation swirls around Mitchell's future, only time will tell if the Rabbitohs can bounce back from this setback, or if they will need the guiding hand of a seasoned coach like Bennett to steer them through these turbulent waters.
