The Dragons have been hit with some unfortunate news as forward Ryan Couchman has suffered a torn ACL that will see him sidelined for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Couchman was forced off the field with a right knee injury during the clash against the Bulldogs on Saturday night, and scans on Sunday have confirmed the extent of the damage.

"Heartbreaking news for Ryan and the team, but he's a fighter and we know he'll come back stronger than ever," said Dragons coach in a statement.

The team will rally around Couchman as he undergoes surgery and begins the road to recovery, with hopes of seeing him back in action for the 2026 pre-season.

"Ryan's resilience and determination will be key in his journey back to the field.

We have no doubt he will tackle his rehabilitation with the same spirit he brings to every game," added the coach.
