NRL boss tackles Latrell meeting drama head-on

‘Tough and honest’: NRL boss opens up on Latrell meeting... but Kent says it’s a ‘charade’

NRL top dog Andrew Abdo has spilled the beans on his pow-wow with Latrell Mitchell, but some reckon it's all just a charade.

According to reports from news.com.au, Abdo sat down with Mitchell at Rugby League HQ at Moore Park after the player's colourful radio rant post-match against the Broncos.

"I caught up with Latrell this arvo," Abdo spilled to The Sydney Morning Herald.

"It was a fair dinkum chat.

I made it crystal clear what he needs to do as a top-level NRL player and pulled him up on the antics of the past few weeks - none of that larrikin stuff can happen again.

"He took it on the chin and we've agreed to knuckle down and tackle some big issues facing the game together."

But some critics, like Kent, reckon it's all smoke and mirrors.
