The Western Suburbs Magpies have been handed a tough 42-16 loss by the Bears in Round 5 of the Knock On Effect NSW Cup at North Sydney Oval.
The Bears came out swinging in the second half, scoring three unanswered tries, including one from prop Nelson Asofa Solomona, to extend their lead to 32-6.
Despite the scoreline, the Magpies didn't back down and showed plenty of heart in the second half, with Solomon Alaimalo and Josh Feledy managing to dot down for tries in the eight-tries-to-two defeat.
Looking ahead, Aaron Payne's men will be gearing up for a showdown against the Dragons at Lidcombe Oval on Saturday.
Time to regroup, refocus, and come out firing for the next challenge on the rugby league field.
