Panthers star Jarome Luai defied the odds and made a remarkable return to the field after dislocating his shoulder a month ago.

Despite concerns that the injury would end his season, Luai played a crucial role in Penrith's victory in the preliminary final.

However, the road to recovery may not be smooth sailing for the Samoan star, as he acknowledges the possibility of off-season surgery that could rule him out of the upcoming Pacific Championships.

Luai's determination to return to the field was evident in his rigorous training sessions, where he faced tough opponents from Penrith's NSW Cup team.

The physical preparation paid off, with Luai displaying no signs of discomfort in his impressive performance.

Buoyed by his successful comeback, Luai expressed his confidence and stated that he has "never felt better" as he looks ahead to the next challenge.
