Cody Ramsey has made it very clear that he intends to remain with the Roosters.
He displayed a calm demeanor during the Roosters' 20-18 victory over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, stepping in for James Tedesco, who sustained an ankle injury during a prior match against the North Queensland Cowboys.
The 26-year-old is committed to the Roosters until the conclusion of the 2027 season. Even though he will be eligible to communicate with rival teams starting November 1, Ramsey expressed that it would be "crazy" to leave the organization.
"I'd be crazy if I wanted to go. The way that the club looks after you, the way that Robbo treats you, and when you walk in those doors, it's just the care and love that this club gives you."
"It's obviously the last thing on my mind because I'm playing. How can I not be happy? I just love it here."
Returning to the NRL was no easy feat for Ramsey.
He battled ulcerative colitis, which forced him to be sidelined for 896 days as his condition became a life-threatening issue.
The former Dragon made his comeback in 2025 with their NSW Cup team before signing a two-year contract with the Roosters, repeatedly affirming his loyalty to the club.
"Yes, I am. One hundred percent."
