According to recent reports from the Sydney Morning Herald, Glover's management has been informed that he is significantly lower in the hierarchy for starting halves within the team, with Jayden Sullivan, Ashton Ward, and Cody Walker currently ahead of him.
In a noteworthy development, the Rabbitohs allowed him to negotiate with other clubs on Thursday, even though Walker is yet to sign for next season.
Glover faced a disheartening setback earlier, having been poised to make his NRL debut in Round 1 this year before suffering a broken jaw in a preseason match against his previous team, the St George Illawarra Dragons.
This 24-year-old halfback found his avenues to the NRL blocked while playing for the Red V, despite showcasing strong performances in the NSW Cup.
After returning to the Rabbitohs' NSW Cup lineup in mid-April, following his jaw injury, Glover excelled, yet he still hasn't made it into the 19-man squad for the NRL this season.
With 61 games of NSW Cup experience to his name, he is widely viewed as ready to transition to the NRL.
