Jarome Luai is reportedly poised to make a significant move, potentially signing with the PNG Chiefs starting in 2028.
This surprise development follows Luai's visit to Papua New Guinea over the weekend, where he met with club officials and Prime Minister James Marape.
Upon his return to Sydney on Monday, Luai managed to evade the throngs of awaiting media at Kingsford Smith Airport, as he was discreetly escorted to a waiting vehicle on the tarmac.
An option in Luai's current contract enables him to join another team, effective from 2028, provided he exercises that option by this Thursday, April 30.
