Spencer Leniu, the Roosters enforcer, is set to face a frosty reception as he returns to Penrith for the first time since switching teams.

After learning from Panthers legends James Fisher-Harris and Moses Leota, Leniu must now use those lessons against his former teammates in what he predicts will be a fierce battle on the field.

Having spent five seasons with the Panthers and winning three premierships, Leniu will have to put any sentimental feelings aside when he steps onto the field at BlueBet Stadium.

Despite his love for his former teammates, he is ready for "war" during the pivotal finals clash on Friday night.

With his roots in Minchinbury Jets, Leniu is excited to play in front of friends and family in the western suburbs, but he knows that sentimentality will have to take a backseat to the game plan.

Aware of the Panthers' systems and strategies, he understands the challenge of actually stopping them in their tracks.

Leniu is prepared for some trash talk from former teammate Jarome Luai, who is known for his sledging tactics on the field.

Despite their history playing together at various levels, Leniu expects Luai to try to get under his skin during the match.

As he gears up for the showdown against his former club, Leniu is ready for the battle ahead and knows that it's not just a game - it's a chance to prove himself against familiar faces in a high-stakes encounter.
