The NRL's Match Review Committee has charged five players following two finals matches held recently.
In the first of these contests, the Dolphins triumphed over the New Zealand Warriors with a score of 26-16 in Auckland, advancing in the finals. Meanwhile, the Warriors will have a second chance against the Knights next Sunday.
Three players received penalties from the Match Review Committee for their actions during this match. Notably, Warriors forward Adam Pompey faces the most significant sanction.
Pompey has been fined $3000 for a Grade 1 Shoulder Charge on Ray Stone of the Dolphins, an incident that led to his sin-binning in the first half.
This fine reflects the fact that Pompey has a prior offense this season. If he disputes the charge and is found guilty, he would be sidelined for two matches.
Kurt Capewell, another Warriors forward, was also charged, having been sin-binned shortly after Pompey, which left his team with just 11 players on the field.
Capewell received a Grade 1 Contrary Conduct charge for his role in a scuffle triggered when Dolphins halfback Isaiya Katoa tackled Jackson Ford.
His penalty includes a $750 fine, given his clean record over the past three years. However, this amount could double if he contests and loses at the judiciary.
Similarly, Dolphins winger Selwyn Cobbo was sin-binned for the same incident and also faces a Grade 1 Contrary Conduct charge, with an identical fine.
Like Capewell, Cobbo has not committed any offenses in three years, ensuring he qualifies for the reduced $750 penalty.
The second match that day saw the Cronulla Sharks eliminate the North Queensland Cowboys with a victory of 26-16.
