Leigh Leopards have signed Tevita Pangai Junior from 2027, keeping the Australian in England after many expected him to return home.
The 30-year-old forward will join coach Adrian Lam on a multi-year deal, following a difficult 2026 campaign at Hull KR.
Injuries and lengthy suspensions restricted Pangai Junior to five appearances for Hull KR this season.
The former NSW Blues and Tonga representative thanked Lam and Leigh's management for the opportunity to continue his career.
"Me and my family are very excited to join Leigh Leopards," Pangai Junior said.
"I want to thank the club, its coaching staff, board of directors and owner Derek Beaumont for taking a leap of faith, and hopefully I can repay that faith."
His recent record in Super League may leave Leigh supporters cautious, with his performances in 2027 likely to shape their view of the signing.
