Ryan Hall finished his career with 358 tries in 540 professional games, after nearly 20 years in the sport.
The 38-year-old winger announced his retirement, saying he felt the moment was right to leave the game.
"I think the time's right that I hang up the boots. I've done it for 20 years and I've loved every minute of it," Hall told the Leeds Rhinos website. "The club's in a good position to go with the youth, that's the natural progression in rugby league."
Hall scored 274 Super League tries, second on the competition's all-time list behind Leigh Leopards winger Josh Charnley.
He also scored 256 tries for Leeds, making him the club's second-highest try-scorer, and won six Super League grand finals and two Challenge Cups with the Rhinos.
For England, Hall crossed 39 times in 40 Tests and played in the side that finished runner-up at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.
After joining Sydney Roosters in 2018, he went scoreless in 11 NRL games across two seasons before returning to the Super League with Hull KR ahead of 2021.
He scored 62 tries in 102 appearances for Hull KR, then rejoined Leeds before the 2025 season.
This year he registered 10 tries in 24 games as Leeds finished second in the Super League table. His final match was a play-off semi-final loss to Warrington, coached by Sam Burgess.
Leeds coach Brad Arthur praised Hall's career and said he had "performed at the very highest level for his club and country".
Sporting director Ian Blease thanked Hall for his contribution, describing him as a professional who set an example for younger players.
