The 2024 NRL season is reaching its climax with only two rounds left to play, and the race for the finals is heating up with 12 teams still in contention.

It's a real nail-biter as five clubs battle it out for that last spot in the top eight.

One team fighting for their finals dreams is the Canberra Raiders.

Currently sitting in 12th place on the ladder, they will need to dig deep and come out on top against both the Sydney Roosters and St George Illawarra Dragons in the next two weeks to keep their hopes alive.

It's do or die for the 'Green Machine', as they are tied on 26 points with the Brisbane Broncos, Dolphins, and Newcastle Knights.

Every game counts, and they'll be relying on other results to go their way if they want to sneak into the finals.

Despite a recent slump with only one win in their last four games, the centre pairing of Matthew Timoko and Sebastian Kris has been a shining light for the Raiders this season.

Kris, who has played in 18 matches and scored five tries, opened up to Zero Tackle about the impact his former teammate has had on both his playing career and personal life off the field.

It's clear that he's taken on board the advice to "try and copy how he is as a person" and it's paying off in more ways than one.
