Koula's Injury Highlights Growing Concerns Over Dangerous Tackles

Manly Sea Eagles player Tolutau Koula has been sidelined for the remainder of the match and is expected to miss the last two games of the season after being tackled dangerously by Knights winger Dominic Young.

Before Caleb Navale scored in the 32nd minute against the Knights, Koula nearly scored himself on the left side.

However, he was halted just short of the try line due to Young's hip-drop tackle.

During the Fox Sports broadcast, it was announced that Koula has sustained a syndesmosis injury.

Following Jamal Fogarty's conversion for Navale's try, referee Wyatt Raymond intervened before the Knights could kick off back to Manly.

Raymond summoned Knights captain Kalyn Ponga and issued a report for Young, who was sin-binned in the 34th minute.

Koula was seen trying to walk back with a trainer but was later taken off the field.

Josh Feledy, a reserve player for Manly, came on to replace the injured star and has remained on the field since.

Tom Trbojevic faced a similar hip-drop situation from Knights forward Tyson Frizell in the first half's closing minutes and was spotted limping.

However, after consulting with the trainer, he returned to join his team and continued to play.
