Konrad Hurrell extends stay abroad with new deal

In a classic twist of fate, former NRL centre Konrad Hurrell has scored himself a new deal that will keep him abroad for another year.

Hurrell, known for his lightning speed and powerful runs on the field, has agreed to a contract extension with St Helens RLFC after recovering from a serious neck injury that required surgery.

Having last graced the NRL turf in 2018, the hard-hitting Tongan international made a name for himself with the New Zealand Warriors and the Gold Coast Titans.

Despite his inconsistent performances and struggles with fitness, Hurrell managed to impress fans with his 41 tries in 71 games for the Warriors and 14 tries in 45 matches for the Titans.

"I'm stoked to have another shot with Wello and Rushy at this top-notch club.

I'm absolutely buzzing!" Hurrell exclaimed to saintsrlfc.com, reflecting on his journey from the NRL to the Super League.

With this new contract in hand, Hurrell is set to continue making waves on the rugby league scene overseas.
