Jye Linnane scored 14 tries in 13 New South Wales Cup appearances after recovering from an ACL injury and switching from his usual position at half to centre.
The 21-year-old NZ Warriors signing made his competition debut against the Storm in round 11, scoring twice in the first half.
He averaged 134 metres per game and made 79 tackle breaks, earning a place in the NSW Cup team of the year.
Warriors hooker Makaia Tafua was also selected after making 16 appearances, scoring six tries and recording 628 tackles, the most by any hooker in the competition.
The Christchurch-born 22-year-old made his NRL debut against the Sharks in June and added two more appearances. He has now played 49 NSW Cup matches.
The Warriors finished fifth in the regular-season standings before losing 18-24 to the Newtown Jets in their week one elimination final.
Former Warriors Kalani Going-Leulua, now with Penrith, and Phillip Makatoa, now with North Sydney, also made the team of the year.
