The St George Illawarra Dragons have made headlines by officially securing Keaon Koloamatangi on a significant long-term contract that runs until the end of the 2031 season.
Koloamatangi, a formidable middle forward with a strong record representing NSW Blues, Tonga, and the Kangaroos, signifies a bold move by the Dragons. His addition not only enhances the team's talent pool but also brings vital leadership and a clear direction for the future.
"I'm excited to be joining the Dragons," Koloamatangi stated in the club's announcement.
"The club's ambition really impressed me.
"I've been watching the squad they're building and the young forwards coming through, and I want to be part of driving that next era."
Although he expressed fondness for his current team, the Rabbitohs, Koloamatangi noted that the appeal of the Dragons was simply irresistible.
"I've loved my time at Souths, but I'm looking forward to bringing my experience, my standards and everything I've got to the Red V," he mentioned.
