The Roosters have delivered a masterclass performance against their arch rivals the Rabbitohs, smashing them 48-6 in a display that had fans on the edge of their seats.

It was a special night for veteran prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, who marked his 300th NRL game in spectacular fashion.

The 35-year-old powerhouse was a force to be reckoned with, unleashing bone-crunching tackles that reverberated through Allianz Stadium.

However, it was the Roosters' electrifying backline featuring the likes of James Tedesco, Joey Manu, and young gun Sam Walker that stole the show, each scoring impressive doubles.

On the other hand, the Rabbitohs find themselves at rock bottom, staring down the barrel of a winless season after suffering their third straight defeat.

Right from the opening whistle, the Roosters pounced on an early Rabbitohs mistake to take the lead through Dom Young's try in the corner.

Walker, filling the shoes of the injured Luke Keary, showcased his playmaking skills by cleverly grubbering the ball for another four-pointer, extending the lead to 16-0.

Despite South Sydney's efforts to get on the scoreboard with a series of set restarts, the Roosters' defense held strong, forcing errors and shutting down any attacking opportunities.

The Rabbitohs' night went from bad to worse as the Roosters continued their domination, leaving them reeling and searching for answers.
