Gold Coast Titans captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui has been charged by the match review committee after being sin-binned in the first minute of their Round 5 clash against the Dolphins for high contact on Felise Kaufusi.

He faces a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle charge, which will result in a one-match ban if he pleads guilty.

If he chooses to fight the charge and is found guilty, he will also miss the following round against the Raiders.

In addition to Fa'asuamaleaui, Beau Fermor and Jaimin Jolliffe were also charged with Grade 1 Careless High Tackles, which come with a $1,500 fine if they opt for an early guilty plea.

As of now, no pleas have been submitted for any of the players.

If Fa'asuamaleaui accepts the charge, he will miss the Titans' away game against the Dragons next Friday.

However, if he decides to challenge the charge and is unsuccessful, he will also be sidelined for the match against the Raiders at Cbus Super Stadium in Round 7.

The Titans' official website reported on the matter, highlighting the disciplinary actions being taken against Fa'asuamaleaui and his teammates.

The update on the judiciary decisions provides insight into the consequences of their actions on the field and the potential impact on the team's upcoming matches.

The charges against Fa'asuamaleaui and his teammates serve as a reminder of the importance of player discipline and adherence to the rules of the game.

The penalties imposed by the match review committee aim to maintain a level of sportsmanship and safety within the sport while holding players accountable for their actions.

It remains to be seen how Fa'asuamaleaui and the other players will respond to the charges and whether they will choose to accept the penalties or challenge them in a hearing.
