In the latest twist of fate for Sydney Roosters warrior Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, the NRL judiciary has handed down a verdict on his high tackle charge.
The tough forward was caught in the crosshairs of a Grade 2 careless high tackle accusation for an incident during the Roosters' recent triumphant clash against the St George Illawarra Dragons.
Despite some passionate objections from Waerea-Hargreaves himself and his fearless leader James Tedesco, the men in charge, referee Ashley Klein and video referee Grant Atkins, decided to show the enforcer a temporary exit to the sin bin for his clash with Max Feagai.
Instead of bowing to a potential three-game suspension with an early guilty plea, Waerea-Hargreaves opted to stand his ground and contest the severity of the charges at the judiciary.
Alas, his bravery resulted in a four-game ban, sidelining him for some crucial upcoming battles on the field.
