Former Manly player Josh Schuster has reportedly lost an impressive 33kg and is aiming for a return to the NRL in 2027, stating that his manager is discussing options with "a few clubs."
During an appearance on James Graham's podcast, The Bye Round, Schuster revealed his transformed physique and shared his ambition of making a comeback to professional rugby league.
The 25-year-old has not been seen in the NRL since 2024. Although he was earning $800,000 annually at Manly, the Sea Eagles chose to part ways with him in April 2024.
Schuster was set to join Souths, with Wayne Bennett offering him a fresh start. However, after taking an indefinite leave from the sport to focus on his mental health, he was released at the conclusion of the last season.
