Jai Arrow's milestone of 100 games with South Sydney took place in a deeply emotional atmosphere on Friday night.
This achievement followed Arrow's announcement in May regarding his Motor Neurone Disease diagnosis, which led to his abrupt departure from the NRL.
Despite this devastating news, the league allowed Arrow to participate in two additional matches, thanks to a proposal from the Rabbitohs that was presented to the NRL, RLPA, and Club Consultation Committee.
His 99th game previously showcased touching moments on the Gold Coast, which were revisited during Friday's game against the Roosters, a fierce rival.
In a rare display of camaraderie, both teams set aside their competitive nature to show support for Arrow.
Before the match, Arrow greeted players such as Connor Watson and Cody Ramsey, symbolizing the game's unified gesture of goodwill.
As he took the field, Arrow received a guard of honour formed by family, friends, and Rabbitohs alumni, including Dane Gagai and Josh Mansour.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, an avid South Sydney supporter, also attended, celebrating Arrow's resolve as he walked out with captain Cam Murray, while club legend Ron Coote rang the legacy bell.
