The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have taken a big step forward in their commitment to women's rugby league by holding their first training session for the inaugural Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership squad.

The session took place at the Sydney Academy of Sport at Narrabeen, with a group of talented players coming together for this historic occasion.

The Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership, established in 2005 and expanded in 2017, is the only statewide open-age competition for women in NSW, making it a significant platform for the Sea Eagles to showcase their talent.

By fielding a team in this competition, the Sea Eagles are providing a clear pathway for female rugby league players, building on their participation in the Lisa Fiaola (U17s) and Tarsha Gale (U19s) competitions in 2023.

The club's ultimate goal is to secure an NRLW license, and the formation of this team is a crucial part of that journey.

Keith Hanley has been appointed as the coach of this historic squad, bringing his expertise and experience to guide the team to success in the upcoming season.
