Brisbane Broncos star Payne Haas, a key player for the New South Wales Blues in State of Origin, is generating significant buzz as he has reportedly reached out to all NRL rival clubs about a potential move starting in 2027.
According to zerotackle.com, Haas will be off-contract at the end of the 2026 season, making him available to negotiate with other teams, including the newly proposed Perth Bears, if the Broncos cannot secure a new deal by November 1.
Fox Sports confirmed that Haas' management has proactively contacted other clubs to discuss their interest.
Journalist James Hooper noted on Fox League, "There is talk that his agent has gone to all the other rival clubs and said, Payne is off-contract as of 2027 and if anybody wants to express interest that door is open." He added, "The rumblings coming out of Red Hill at the moment are ugly, and as the losses mount, the noise will only increase."
The situation at the Broncos seems tense as the team struggles, leading to increased speculation about Haas' future.
If the Broncos wish to retain their million-dollar forward, they must act swiftly to re-sign him before he becomes a free agent.
