Fiji's Koroisau suffers suspected jaw break

Wests Tigers star taken to hospital after suspected broken jaw in World Cup clash

New Zealand had scored six first-half tries with 13 minutes still to play, as Fiji Bati suffered another setback.

Apisai Koroisau was removed from the field after an opposition defender clipped him across the head just after he passed the ball.

The Wests Tigers and Fiji Bati player was suspected of having a broken jaw, though the injury was initially thought to require a head injury assessment.

Seven's broadcast team later reported that Koroisau was being given the green whistle and taken to hospital.

Before the incident, he had attempted a quick pass to Caleb Navale, who was running onto the ball, to catch the Kiwis' markers off guard.

Navale dropped the pass.
