Eels Seek Players to Revive Struggling Season

The Parramatta Eels find themselves in desperate need of reinforcements as they aim to salvage a flagging season.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the Eels' management and recruitment team dedicated their Monday to exploring the rosters of rival NRL clubs, hoping to secure players either through transfers or loan agreements.

Player agents have wasted no time capitalizing on the Eels' predicament, approaching the club with clients eager for playing time or larger roles in this season.

Market evaluations indicate that Parramatta is particularly interested in acquiring players such as Braden Uele from the Sharks, Blake Wilson from Manly, Canterbury's Bronson Xerri, James Schiller from the Knights, and both Matthew Timoko and Chevy Stewart from Canberra.

Additionally, the Eels have already arranged to sign Dragons back-rower Jaydn Su'A starting next season and are exploring ways to expedite that deal.

Coach Jason Ryles has been commendably open about the struggles faced by his team, currently dealing with injuries to eight players from their top 30, while also emphasizing that the recruitment option is still very much on the table.

"We do have the ability to do that, but that's something we'll have to look at with the recruitment team in the week and the week's coming," Ryles stated following their recent defeat to the Titans.

On a more uplifting note, Sean Russell is on track to make a return against the Bulldogs this Sunday, provided he receives medical clearance after suffering a heavy concussion two weeks prior.
