'Won't beat a park footy side': Fuming Ryles' scathing Eels review after reality check

Eels coach Jason Ryles expressed his frustration after the team suffered a 32-12 defeat against South Sydney, marking a disappointing milestone in captain Mitch Moses' 250th game.

Both Ryles and Moses appeared visibly upset during the post-match press conference, where the Parramatta coach criticized the team's overall performance, declaring they wouldn't have "beat a park football side."

The brief press conference, which lasted just over two minutes, showcased Ryles holding back from fully expressing his feelings while reflecting on the team's alarming completion rate of only 60%.

In addition to their poor completion, the Eels missed 36 tackles and managed to complete merely eight sets in the second half.

"I probably don't have the vocabulary to articulate how I actually feel, so disappointing is probably one way to put it," Ryles admitted.

He noted, "It was self-inflicted, they didn't have to earn a whole heap of what they did tonight. They made their one-on-one tackles on the trial and we didn't."

With such candid reflections, Ryles emphasized the urgent need for improvement as the Eels look to regain their footing in future matches.
